UOKiK participates in 22nd ICN Annual Conference

This year's 22nd Annual Conference of the International Competition Network (ICN) is hosted by the Spanish CNMC in Barcelona from 18 to 20 October 2023. The conference is attended by the delegation of the Office of Competition and Consumer Protection, headed by UOKiK President Tomasz Chróstny and representatives of the legal and academic community nominated by UOKiK.
Conference sessions focus on topics such as competitive implications of artificial intelligence, sustainability, intersection between competition and privacy, a review of jurisdictions or new tools available to authorities to detect cartels and other violations. The topics of prioritization and effective competition law enforcement in unilateral conduct cases are also covered.
The number of jurisdictions at the event is approaching an unprecedented number than ever before, with more than 400 participants from almost 100 different jurisdictions.
The ICN is the most important network of competition authorities worldwide and this conference allows to discuss the most relevant topics concerning antitrust challenges and close cooperation, exchange experiences and promote the network, as well as to present the latest initiatives of ICN working groups.
