UOKiK delegation's visit in Israel

On September 3-4, a delegation from UOKiK visited the Israel Competition Authority (ICA). The visit took place as part of a bilateral meeting between the President of UOKiK, Mr. Tomasz Chróstny, and the President of the Israel Competition Authority, Ms. Michal Cohen.
During the meeting the two institutions presented their investigation teams and exchanged on investigation methods and techniques such as how to effectively conduct dawn raids and discover cartels, how to recognize suspected anti-competitive behavior, how to interact with informants, what tools are used to analyze data collected during inspections in residential premises.
The meeting was an opportunity for UOKiK delegates to familiarize themselves with the organization and tasks of the ICA Investigation Department, in particular, the most effective investigative tools of the ICA. The cooperation between the authorities can be expected to strengthen the investigative competences of experts.
