< poprzedni | następny > 10.10.2022
- Delegation from Moldovan Inspectorate had a series of meetings with Polish experts from UOKiK, Trade Inspection and Customs Service in Warsaw, Bydgoszcz, Gdańsk and Gdynia
- Market Surveillance System, monitoring and control of fuel quality and cooperation between Trade Inspection and Customs Service – these and other issues were discussed during the workshops.
On September 26th-30th, a group of experts from the Moldovan State Inspectorate for Supervision of Non-Food Products and Consumer Protection (ISSPNPC) had their first study visit at UOKiK. The visit took place within the framework of the „Institutional support fоr APCSP in strengthening the market suгveillance, trаdе inspection and соnsumеr protection system” project financed by Polish aid. The project is based on three thematic areas: fuel quality control system, market surveillance system, and consumer protection system (in particular, eCommerce).
The Moldovan experts were welcomed by President Tomasz Chróstny, who also had a conversation with the Head of the Inspectorate, Mr. Sergiu Dărănuță.
“I am pleased that the consumer protection and product safety policies implemented by our Office have been recognized abroad. Hence, we are willing and open to share our experience. At the same time, we know that joint meetings will give us a better understanding of your ways of thinking about and dealing with challenges,” President Tomasz Chróstny said. He also noted that the Moldovan delegation visited the Polish authority in a ‘historical moment’. “Moldova's EU candidate status, which it obtained in June of this year, represents another important step in its path to EU structures. It was not so long ago that Poland travelled a similar path, so I hope you will find our experience particularly helpful.”
On the first day of the visit, the Moldovan delegates received training conducted by experts from the Department of Trade Inspection, the Department of Market Surveillance, the Department of Laboratories and the Voivodeship Inspectorate of Trade Inspection in Warsaw. Among other things, they learned the basic principles of the RAPEX system or the functioning of IT systems in the fuel quality control system.
In the following day, the Moldovan experts visited the UOKiK Laboratory in Bydgoszcz where they learned about the practical aspects of fuel quality control. On the last day of training, dedicated to cooperation between the Trade Inspection and Customs Administration, Moldovans met with experts from the Voivodeship Trade Inspection Inspectorate in Gdansk, the UOKiK Market Surveillance Department and the Customs Service.
Two missions of UOKiK experts to Chisinau will take place in the next stages of the project. During the first, topics related to the market surveillance system and the fuel quality control system will be deepened, and in addition, Moldovan experts will learn about best practices in the area of communication in the context of consumer protection and product safety. The second mission will be entirely devoted to topics in the area of consumer protection.
