Consent for concentration: Guala Closures International

President of the Office of Competition and Consumer Protection has given her consent for taking control over DGS by Guala Closures International

Guala Closures International of Holland is a company belonging to the Guala Closures group, which manufactures and sells various types of bottle closures. DGS of Włocławek is a manufacturer of aluminium closures. As a result of the concentration, Guala Closures International will take control over DGS by way of acquisition of its shares from Central European Closures company of Luxemburg.

Having conducted antitrust proceedings the President of the Office concluded that the concentration would not significantly restrict competition.

In accordance with the provisions, the transaction is subject to notification to the antitrust authority, if it involves enterprises whose total turnover in the preceding year exceeded EUR 1 billion globally or EUR 50 million in Poland

Under law a transaction is subject to notification to the antitrust authority, if it involves undertakings whose total turnover in the preceding year exceeded EUR 1 billion worldwide or EUR 50 million in Poland.
