Consent for concentration - BMW and Peugeot

The President of UOKiK has issued her consent for creating one joint undertaking (BMW Peugeot Citroen Electrification) by BMW and Peugeot
BMW and Peugeot deal with production and sale of cars and motorcycles, inter alia, under BMW, MINI, Rolls-Royce as well as Peugeot and Citroen brands. As a consequence of the concentration, there shall be created a new undertaking operating under the name BMW Peugeot Citroen Electrification. It will manufacture components for electric drive systems and programming applied in hybrid electric vehicles.
Under the existing regulations, a transaction is subject to a notification submitted to the antitrust authority if the transaction participants' combined turnover in the year preceding the notification exceeded 1 billion euro worldwide or 50 million euro in Poland
Having conducted the antitrust proceedings, the President of the Office decided that the concentration stall not significantly restrict competition.
Under the existing regulations, a transaction is subject to a notification submitted to the antitrust authority if the transaction participants' combined turnover in the year preceding the notification exceeded 1 billion euro worldwide or 50 million euro in Poland.
Simultaneously we would like to inform that infomation on all antitrust proceedings concerning concentrations carried out by UOKiK, is available at the Office’s website.
