Consent for concentration - Uralkali and Silvinit

The President of UOKiK has given her consent for the merger of Uralkali and Silvinit

Uralkali and Silvinit are leading Russian producers of potassium. Till 1983 the undertakings belonged to one mining group. The companies own mines distant within a radius of 20 km each. As a result of the concentration, both undertakings shall be merged.

Having conducted the antitrust proceedings, the President of the Office stated that the concentration stall not significantly restrict competition.

Under the existing regulations, a transaction is subject to a notification submitted to the antitrust authority if the transaction participants' combined turnover in the year preceding the notification exceeded 1 billion euro worldwide or 50 million euro in Poland

Under the law, a transaction is subject to a notification submitted to the antitrust authority if the transaction participants' combined turnover in the year preceding the notification exceeded 1 billion euro worldwide or 50 million euro in Poland.

Simultaneously we would like to inform that infomation on all antitrust proceedings concerning concentrations carried out by UOKiK, is available at the Office’s website.
