Consent for Euro Advanced Composites

The President of UOKiK has issued her consent for creating Euro Advanced Composites (one joint undertaking) by Daimler, Toray Industries and ACE Advanced Composite Engineering

Daimler deals inter alia with manufacturing and distribution of cars. Toray Industries produces among others fibres and synthetic textiles whereas ACE Advanced Composite Engineering operates in the field of research and development and manufacturing parts of pices used inter alia in aviation, railway and mechanic engineering. The jointly created entity, Euro Advanced Composites, will be involved in the production of plastic components stiffed with carbon fibres which will be used in car industry.

Under the existing regulations, a transaction is subject to a notification submitted to the antitrust authority if the transaction participants' combined turnover in the year preceding the notification exceeded 1 billion euro worldwide or 50 million euro in Poland

Having conducted the antimonopoly proceedings, the President of UOKiK decided that the concentration shall not significantly restrict competition.

Under the existing regulations, a transaction is subject to a notification submitted to the antitrust authority if the transaction participants' combined turnover in the year preceding the notification exceeded 1 billion euro worldwide or 50 million euro in Poland.

We would like to inform that infomation on all antitrust proceedings concerning conentrations carried out by UOKiK, is available at the Office’s website.

Simultaneously we would like to remind about the contest for journalists  „Libertas et Auxilium”. Authors of interesting articles and broadcasts on competition or consumer protection (not necessarily connected with UOKiK) have an opportunity to win PLN 10 000.
