On 27 April 2023, the project 'Institutional assistance to antimonopoly offices in Ukraine and Moldova' was launched. The project is co-financed by the Polish Aid programme of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Poland. The project is being carried out for the Moldovan Competition Council and the Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine.

The announcement of these activities has already been made in the framework of the regional cooperation agreement signed on 18 April 2023 by the Presidents of the ten Central and Eastern European competition protection authorities. Various activities are planned as part of the project with the main objective of institutional strengthening of both institutions in the field of competition law enforcement and state aid. UOKiK will organise workshops for Moldovan and Ukrainian experts in Chisinau, study visits in Łódź and Warsaw and expert internships in UOKiK’s Branch Offices in Bydgoszcz and Poznań in a job shadowing format.

From 22 to 26 May is takin place the first UOKiK workshop in Moldova on state aid, competition law and communication. In addition to experts from UOKiK, speakers will include representatives of national competition authorities from Czechia, Lithuania, Romania and Hungary, and thanks to an online broadcast, representatives from European antitrust authorities will also take part in the meeting.

The next UOKiK’s workshop in Chisinau will take place on 20-22 June 2023.
