During his visit to Washington D.C., the President of UOKiK also met with the Chairman of the US Consumer Product Safety Commission, Alexander Hoehn-Saric. The meeting was an opportunity to exchange experiences on the recall of dangerous products from the market and activities undertaken to increase effectiveness in this area in order to ensure a high level of safety for consumers. The President of UOKiK also participated in the Enforcers Summit, a conference co-organized by the US antitrust authorities – the Federal Trade Commission and the Department of Justice. The event was devoted to discussing the reform of merger control in order to adapt it to the challenges of modern economy.
