UOKiK clears Asseco to acquire Infovide
< previous | next > 21.10.2015
Poland’s Office of Competition and Consumer Protection (UOKiK) has cleared Asseco, the largest IT company listed on the Warsaw stock exchange, to acquire Infovide.
The sixth largest software house in Europe, Asseco provides equipment, programming, servicing and modernisation as well as educational workshops to clients across a wide spectrum of markets. Infovide offers consulting services and IT solutions, and is also listed on the stock exchange. In pursuing the acquisition, Asseco sought to expand its services in global third-party solutions and diversify and strengthen its position on the IT market. UOKiK’s proceedings showed that the transaction would not limit competition on Poland’s IT services market, nor lead the combined enterprise to surpass 20% share on any of the markets both companies operate on.
