Poland’s Office of Competition and Consumer Protection has cleared the Onet Group to take over Nasza Klasa on grounds the merger will not limit competition

A technology company, the Onet.pl Group’s main activity is running the internet portal, Onet.pl. It also owns other sites, including vod.pl, and offers online computer games. Nasza Klasa is a social media site that also offers online games and video on demand. While the companies’ activities overlap on the domestic online advertising, computer game and video on demand markets, the UOKiK reasoned that neither company’s share is so great that the merger would limit competition, especially given the large number of players on the Polish market.
