Consent to concentration - Maxima Grupe

The President of UOKiK has issued her consent to takeover of Aldik Nova by Maxima Grupė
Maxima Grupe is the holding company belonging to Nerijusa Numaviciusa, the Lithuanian capital group. It owns several depending companies in Poland which deal, inter alia, with the production and sale of confection. Aldik Nova offers a retail sale in Aldik brand name shops in Lubelskie and Podkarpackie voivodeships. As a result of the concentration, Maxima Grupe will acquire the shares of Aldik Nova from their previous owners.
Under law a transaction is subject to notification to the antitrust authority, if it involves undertakings whose total turnover in the preceding year exceeded EUR 1 billion worldwide and EUR 50 million in Poland
Having conducted the antitrust proceedings, the President of the Office decided that the concentration will not significantly restrict competition.
Under the law, a transaction is subject to notification to the antitrust authority, if it involves undertakings whose total turnover in the preceding year exceeded euro 1 billion globally or euro 50 million in Poland.
Decisions granting the consent to implement a concentration will expire if the transaction has not been perfomed within 2 years of their issuance.
