President of the Office of Competition and Consumer Protection has given her consent to the Heart company to take control over American Heart of Poland

The primary purpose of Heart company’s activity (Luxembourg) involves purchase of shares in other undertakings. American Heart of Poland from Ustroń (Silesian Voivodeship) operates in the provision of comprehensive treatment services for cardiovascular diseases through a network of angiological and cardiological branches. As a result of the concentration, Heart will take control over American Heart of Poland, and will exercise it together with the current owners – natural persons and the Candela company of Warsaw.

Under law a transaction is subject to notification to the antitrust authority, if it involves undertakings whose total turnover in the preceding year exceeded EUR 1 billion worldwide and EUR 50 million in Poland

Having conducted antitrust proceedings the President of the Office concluded that the concentration would not significantly restrict competition.
