Consent to concentration: Bosch and Daimler

President of UOKiK has consented to the creation by Robert Bosch and Daimler Chrysler of joint venture - EM-motive
In accordance with the provisions, the transaction is subject to notification to the antitrust authority, if it involves enterprises whose total turnover in the preceding year exceeded EUR 1 billion globally or EUR 50 million in Poland
Robert Bosch (Germany) is a holding company which is a global supplier of products and services in the field of automotive, industrial and construction technology. The second participant of the concentration - Daimler (Germany) conducts its manufacturing and distribution of cars and commercial vehicles. The result of the merger will create a new company - EM-motive, which will produce traction motors for electric cars and vans.
After the antitrust proceedings the President of the Authority concluded that the concentration will not significantly reduce competition.
In accordance with the provisions, the transaction is subject to notification to the antitrust authority, if it involves enterprises whose total turnover in the preceding year exceeded EUR 1 billion globally or EUR 50 million in Poland.
