UOKiK's Branch Office In Cracow - Shortcut

Lack of information on the Internet site, including identification details of the ticket seller – this practice was questioned by the President of UOKiK. The undertaking from Opole - Shortcut – has changed its practice

Shortcut deals with online sale of tickets for cultural and entertainment events, held both in Poland and abroad. What raised doubts of UOKiK was the fact that the website did not provide information required by law i.e. name, surname, address and NIP number (tax identification number)

What raised doubts of UOKiK was the fact that the website did not provide information required by law i.e. name, surname, address and NIP number (tax identification number)

Pursuant to the law, the undertaking that provides services via Internet is obliged to clearly and explicitly inform the site visitor about the company’s data as to make it possible for the client to verify the entrepreneur’s credibility before concluding a contract, and, to easily find out how and where to file a possible complaint after having bought the tickets.

The President of UOKiK stated that Shortcut from Opole violated the collective consumer interests. The undertaking has ceased to apply the contested practices and completed the missing data on the Internet site. This decision is not final, therefore it can be appealed against to the Court of Competition and Consumer Protection.
