Four concentrations have been issued a consent by the President of UOKiK. The decisions concerned the printing, industrial construction, assembly services and poultry processing markets

Quad/Winkowski and IMC Winkowski operate on the printing services market. Quad/Winkowski provides web offset printing services, i.e. printing of magazines, catalogues and advertising materials. To-be-taken undertaking, IMC Winkowski, operates on the sheet-fed offset printing market, manufacturing mostly packaging and cardboard advertising displays and posters. The objective of the transaction is to extend the scope of services provided by Quad/Winkowski.

The second decision relates to transaction between KGHM Polska Miedź and Bipromet. KGHM Polska Miedź operates mainly in production of copper, precious metals and other metallurgy products. Bipromet renders designing services related e.g. to construction, industry or environmental protection. The transaction will consist in acquiring of 66% of Bipromet shares by KGHM.

The President of UOKiK has also given a consent for the acquisition of Instal-Lublin. The acquiring party is a group of undertakings - Andrzej, Małgorzata, Michał and Tomasz Wuczyńscy. Instal-Lublin provides i.a. assembly of heating, ventilation or sewage installations connected with works in industrial, residential and public utility facilities.

Moreover, 2 Sisters Property may take over Storteboom Group. 2 Sisters Property belongs to the international Boparan Holdings group, operating on the poultry processing market. Storteboom is the parent company of the group processing and supplying poultry products.

Upon the completion of antitrust proceedings, the President of UOKiK decided that the concentrations will not significantly restrict competition in Poland.

Under the existing regulations, a transaction is subject to a notification submitted to the antitrust authority if the transaction participants' combined turnover in the year preceding the notification exceeded 1 billion euro worldwide or 50 million euro in Poland.
