Neonet can take over Avans Północ and Procter&Gamble part of property of Sara Lee. The President of UOKiK also gave the consent for transactions on the market of dairy products, import and distribution of wines

Participants of the first concentration – Neonet and Avans Północ provide inter alia wholesale and retail sales of household appliances and audio and video devices. As a result of intention of concentration, Neonet will take control over Avans Północ – exercised previously by Cypriot undertaking APN Holdings Capital Limited. Moreover, UOKiK is conducting two other proceedings regarding acquisition of Avans Południe and Avans Centrum-Wschód by Neonet.

Clearance was given also for implementation of concentration between Procter&Gamble and Sara Lee. Procter&Gamble is a company listed on world stock-exchanges. It is the owner of brands such as: Pantene, Gillette, Pampers and Wella. Sara Lee is dealing i.a. with production and supply of cosmetics, beverages and bakery products. Concentration will consist in Procter&Gamble acquiring a part of Sara Lee involved in production and sales of Ambi Pur air fresheners.

The President of UOKiK has also issued a consent for the merger of two dairy undertakings - Spomlek and Elbląska Spółdzielnia Mleczarska. The entities deal i.a. with milk processing and cheese production. After the transaction, only one entity will act on the market – Spomlek.

Moreover, Invinments Holding can take over AN.KA Dystrybucja. The acquiring party – Invinments Holding conducts trust activity. It belongs to the capital group HAL Trust whose companies deal inter alia, in selling optical instruments and hearing aids. AN.KA Dystrybucja is an importer and distributor of wine and other alcohols.

Upon the completion of antitrust proceedings, the President of UOKiK decided that the concentrations shall not significantly restrict competition in Poland.

Under the existing regulations, a transaction is subject to a notification submitted to the antitrust authority if the transaction participants' combined turnover in the year preceding the notification exceeded 1 billion euro worldwide or 50 million euro in Poland.
