Bilateral meeting of the Polish and Czech Competition Authorities

On the 28th March, UOKiK President Tomasz Chróstny welcomed the delegation from the Czech Office for Competition Protection (UOHS) which consisted of UOHS President Petr Mlsna, UOHS Vice-President Kamil Nejezchleb and Roman Pliska, responsible for international cooperation.

During the meeting a number of topics, of key importance to both competition authorities, were addressed, including: the leniency programme, improving the effectiveness of competition-restricting practices’ detection  and cooperation with different law enforcement agencies. In this context, both agencies have benefitted from learning about mutual experiences and practices in order to identify good practice examples

The heads of the Polish and Czech competition authorities also discussed the possibility of competition law to contribute to green transition, as well as the plans for the upcoming Czech Presidency of the Council of the European Union.
