The Insurance Guarantee Fund Council appointed Marek Niechciał as a member of the management board of the Insurance Guarantee Fund on 20 December. Therefore, Marek Niechciał resigned from his current function as the President of the Office of Competition and Consumer Protection, which was accepted by Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki on 23 December.

In accordance with the provisions of the Act on Competition and Consumer Protection, Marek Niechciał is acting President until his successor is appointed.

He will take up a position at UFG after the termination of the function of the President of UOKiK, from February 1, 2020.
