The fifth meeting of lawyers and economists will be devoted to horizontal mergers. We will discuss the most important economic tools to assess the mergers and the most recent trends in the control of mergers in the European Union including Poland. We will present case study ― with analysis and discussion on this topic.

Programme

The special guest will be prof. Damien Neven, Senior Consultant in Compass Lexecon, former Chief Competition economist at the directorate general for competition of the EU Commission; professor at the Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies Geneva. Moreover, among the speakers will be other representatives of Compass Lexecon, UOKiK and law offices specializing in the mergers.

The meeting will take place on 21th June (Thursday) from 10.00 am to 2.30 pm in UOKiK Training and Conference Centre at pl. Powstańców Warszawy 1 in Warsaw.

The organisers are Office of Competition and Consumer Protection, Compass Lexecon and Competition Law Association.
