UOKiK invites you to the on-line live broadcast of workshop entitled “New Challenges in Merger Control in Europe”, 12th September 2013, 12:00-4:45 p.m., available at www.uokik.gov.pl/online/en/
The workshop will be devoted to recent developments and challenges regarding the practical aspects of applying laws on merger control, both at national and EU level. The discussion will the focused on the amendments to Council Regulation (EC) No. 139/2004 on the control of concentrations, with an emphasis on proposal to include minority shareholdings in the Regulation, as well as the amendment to the system of case referrals between the EC and national competition protection authorities. The second part of workshops will address the choice and design of remedies in merger control proceedings and the way they affect the market.
